Trike Show 'n' Shine
The 10th Annual Deadwood 3-Wheeler Rally Show 'n' Shine will occur on Deadwood Main Street from 2 to 4 pm (line up at 1:30 pm) on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Trikes will begin lining up by their chosen class at 10 am on Wednesday. Must be paid registrant of the Rally to participate in the event.
Registration
Show 'n' Shine registration forms will be in the D3WR Event Info Packet (the envelope you receive after signing the event waiver.) Trike show participants must fill out the form and choose their "class" upon registration at the event. Completed forms must be turned in to the D3WR registration desk by 10 am on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
A panel of judges will choose who receives first, second, and third-place awards in each class. Additional first-place awards will be given for "overall" Best Paint, Best Wrap, Best Detail, Most Filth, and Special Show (see below).
The Rally team members will choose Best of Show and People's Choice Awards awarded that evening, Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
Stock Class
Indicates entry as built by the manufacturer. Pin striping is allowed if from the factory. Aftermarket seat is permitted if it utilizes factory-appearing materials (no unique colors, textures, or animal hides). The addition of chrome items/accessories will be allowed. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place.
Custom Class
Indicates Stock class entry plus any of the following items: Pin striping - may also include painting techniques between pin striping to a maximum of 3/4" in width regardless of application method (example – narrow graphic designs). Any single piece of artwork covering an area no larger than 2" x 3" regardless of application method will be allowed (artist signature/logo will not affect class). Solid color repainted items/panels - paint to match trike or accent color. Custom seat materials or seat covers (unique colors, textures, or animal hides). Any type of etching. Any slogans or personal logos (owner name/nickname excluded). Wood grain or carbon fiber appliqués. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place.
Artisan Class
Indicates trike was repainted entirely with non-original color. Entries containing artwork (murals, pictures, or decals) regardless of application method - any single panel containing art larger than 2" x 3" or multiple panels containing art. Painting between pin striping more than 3/4" in width, regardless of application method (for example – comprehensive graphic designs.) Awards will be given for first, second, and third place.
In addition to the above classes, a panel of judges will select first-place awards for the following:
Best Paint – From old-school flames to high-tech murals
Best Wrap – Taking your trike to the next level with vinyl graphics
Best Detail – The cleanest trike in town will win this award
Most Filth – Road hard and put away dirty – bugs and dirt are good
Special Show – An entry that utilizes additional display items such as but not limited to mascots, animals, literature, themes, placards, music, lighting, etc.
First Place awards will also be given for:
Best of Show – Mayor Dave Ruth is the boss of this town, and what he likes gets the award!
People's Choice – The people entering their trikes and the general public get to decide their favorite with ballot voting.
